Singer-songwriter Gary Allan headlined Joe’s Bar on Saturday, December 15 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music. The show raised more than $11,000 for ACM Lifting Lives, which will go to help fund organizations that are improving lives through the power of music. Gary has previously been involved as a volunteer artist in ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, held annually for campers with developmental disabilities in Nashville, TN.
Ed Warm, co-owner of the two-time ACM Nightclub of the Year and board member of both the Academy of Country Music and ACM Lifting Lives, spearheaded the show. This is the second Joe’s Bar performance that has benefitted ACM Lifting Lives. The first, in 2011, featured performances by ACM Award winner LeAnn Rimes and Crystal Bowersox.
“Joe’s and Gary Allan are both long time Lifting Lives supporters and we were all thrilled to come together with the help of WUSN for a night of great live music to benefit a great cause,” said Warm. “We hope to do more of these concerts in 2013.” Continue Reading

Brett Eldredge was able to cross one more item off his bucket list when he played Joe’s Bar in Chicago on December 8. A native of Paris, Illinois, a town about three hours south of Chicago, Brett has spent a lot of time both at Joe’s Bar and in the city around Christmas time.
“I used to love going downtown around the holidays and seeing all the lights,” Brett told Country Music Chicago. “My friends and I always said we wanted to go ice skating too… but as of yet, we haven’t. Maybe this time we will end up giving it a try.”
While Brett loves Chicago and touring the country playing his music, he looks forward to being able to return to Paris for the holidays. For him, the holidays are all about tradition and family – and maybe a little fishing. Continue Reading

LeAnn Rimes headlined the first-ever ACM Lifting Lives benefit concert in Chicago on August 15 which also featured Crystal Bowersox. The event raised $11,000 and took place at current ACM Nightclub of the Year, Joe’s Bar Chicago. The club’s owner, Ed Warm, headed the event and also underwrote the cost, including food and drinks for every ticket buyer, to ensure that each ticket purchased went to ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music.
“The generosity that Ed Warm has shown to ACM Lifting Lives is unparalleled,” Gayle Holcomb, Chairman of ACM Lifting Lives, said. “He took a small idea and turned it into a very successful first-ever club event for charity, which in turn benefits so many worthy organizations.”
