YouTube Sensation Keenan Cahill Goes Country with the Oak Ridge Boys

YouTube sensation Keenan Cahill has gone country. Known for posting videos of himself lip-syncing to Top 40 hits, Keenan teamed up with The Oak Ridge Boys for his first-ever venture into country music. The band and Keenan recorded themselves lip synching to The Oak Ridge Boys’ “What’cha Gonna Do” backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

The Oak Ridge Boys aren’t the first celebrities to appear in one of Keenan’s videos. Tyra Banks, Julianne Hough, Jason Derulo and Perez Hilton are just some of the stars who have appeared in videos with him.

Blake Shelton Invites Kenny Loggins to Duet on CMA Awards

Entertainer of the Year nominee Blake Shelton has invited singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins to join him for his performance of “Footloose” to open the 45th Annual CMA Awards. Written by Kenny and Dean Pitchford, the song and title of the classic motion picture was a three-week No. 1 hit for Kenny. With the remake of Footloose starring Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald in theaters now, Blake’s rendition of “Footloose” is climbing the charts.

Blake, Trace & Julianne Hit the Red Carpet at “Footloose” Premiere

Last night in Franklin, Tenn. (just outside Nashville), the Franklin Theatre was the place to be! Hitting the red carpet for the premiere of the remake of the ’80s movie Footloose were Blake Shelton (who puts his spin on the movie’s title song) Trace Adkins, Lauren Alaina and of course, the star of the movie, Julianne Hough!

Julianne Hough, GAC’s Suzanne Alexander on Nashville’s Beautiful List

Nashville magazine Nashville Lifestyles has revealed its annual list of the 25 Most Beautiful People. The magazine looks for people in the Nashville area – whether famous or not – who are not just beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. Julianne Hough graces the cover of the Most Beautiful issue. Other familiar faces on the list include GAC’s Suzanne Alexander, Sherrie Austin, Jay O’Shea and Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline Bryan.

“To celebrate 12 years of Nashville Lifestyles, I cannot think of a more fitting personality than Juilanne Hough for our cover,” publisher Stacie Standifer told Music Row. “Like the magazine, she has grown in so many ways, with the release of Footloose showcasing even more of her talents and interests.”

Check Out These “Honky Tonk Badonkadonkeys”

We first saw this on thestranger.com and had to go check it out. So cute!

Country Music Miniature Donkeys, based in Spicewood, Texas and owned by fourth generation ranchers Tim and Rhetta McAlister, raise and show cattle, South African Boer Goats and world class Quarter Horses – and miniature donkeys named after country stars. The farm’s two sires are ”George Jones” and “Garth Brooks.”

George, 30” tall, and Garth, also 30” tall, have a band of 35 jennets (female donkeys). All jennets have a “lovely disposition, excellent conformation and an extensive pedigree” according to the ranch’s website, resulting in high quality offspring. George and Garth have sired more than 25 National and World champions at Halter and Performance in Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the U.S.

If you would like to purchase an offspring of George or Garth, the website has a listing of donkeys for sale. For example, Tim McGraw stands 21.5 inches and is described as a true black with a small white marking on his forehead. Fathered by George Jones, Tim’s mother is Kelly Clarkson. Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Featured on Footloose Soundtrack

Blake Shelton will be getting footloose and kicking off his Sunday shoes with the release of the upcoming Footloose soundtrack by Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville. Blake has recorded a remake of the iconic song “Footloose” to be featured on the soundtrack and in the Paramount Pictures update of the film. The soundtrack will be released on September 27.

The 12-track album will include eight new songs and remakes of four classics from the original soundtrack. Besides Blake’s rendition of “Footloose,” Victoria Justice and Hunter Hayes’ remake of “Almost Paradise’ is featured along with new music from Big & Rich, Cee Lo Green, David Banner, Whitney Duncan, Lissie and Zac Brown of Zac Brown Band.  Other classic songs featured on the album are “Holding Out For A Hero” by Ella Mae Bowen and “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” by Jana Kramer.

In the remake of Footloose, Julianne Hough plays Ariel while newcomer Kenny Wormald takes on the iconic role of Ren MacCormack. Dennis Quaid and Andie MacDowell also star. Osama bin Laden Killed by U.S. Special Forces

A quiet Sunday night took a wild turn as reports of Osama bin Laden’s death spread like wildfire.   Then, a little bit after 11 p.m. ET, President Barack Obama addressed the nation to confirm the report.  President Obama outlined that U.S. Special Forces had killed bin Laden early Sunday morning at a compound located in a small town in Northern Pakistan.  The President described a successful, targeted operation that ended with bin Laden’s body in the possession of the troops that executed the mission. Bin Laden’s death comes just months before the 10-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that he claimed responsibility for.

As the news of bin Laden’s death spread, country stars reacted with a flood of messages on Twitter.  Here are just a few:

Miranda Lambert, Celine Dion & More Added as ACM Awards Presenters

The Academy of Country Music announced today that Luke Bryan, Chace Crawford, Celine Dion, The Judds and Miranda Lambert are scheduled to present as part of the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton. The ceremony, which honors country music’s top talent as well as the industry’s hottest emerging artists, is produced for television by dick clark productions and will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 8 p.m. live ET/delayed PT on CBS.

Bryan, Crawford, Dion, The Judds and Lambert join previously announced Bethany Hamilton, Julianne Hough, AnnaSophia Robb, Chris Young, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, Nancy O’Dell and Ryan Seacrest.

In addition, Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Reba, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band with James Taylor and Entertainer of the Year nominees Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban have been announced as performers at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
