In the latest episode of Keith Urban’s webisode series Urban Developments, Keith answers a couple of pressing questions: When was the last time he took out the trash – and was he a lot of trouble growing up? He also celebrates his fifth wedding anniversary with wife Nicole Kidman and has a debate with his band post show on whether ICEE or slushie is the appropriate term for the iced drinks featured on one of their shirts.
And of course, there is plenty footage of Keith shredding his guitar and performing for fans. Check it out: Continue Reading

The 2011 Billboard Music Awards were held last night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Taylor Swift was one of the biggest winners taking home three trophies, including one of the evening’s highest honors, the all-genre Top 200 Albums Artist Award. Taylor also took home the trophy for Top Country Artist, and her now-Triple-Platinum Speak Now album was voted Top Country Album.
Taylor wasn’t the only country act to take home an award last night, Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” took honors for Top Country Song. Lady A also took the stage to perform their latest hit single “Just A Kiss.”
Keith Urban arrived with wife Nicole Kidman and had one of the more memorable moments of the night when he took the stage for a banjo duel with host Ken Jeong. Continue Reading

Keith Urban is essentially a rock star in the country music genre. With millions of screaming fans, more than 10 million albums sold and some of the best guitar-playing skills in the industry, there is no denying that music is a big part of who Keith is. But Keith tells PEOPLE that his family – wife Nicole Kidman and two daughters, Sunday Rose, 2, and Faith Margaret, 3 months – is his main focus.
“We just have a normal life, we do normal things,” Keith said in the new edition of PEOPLE Country. “Family is definitely a priority for us.” Keith was named as this year’s PEOPLE Country’s Hottest Guy thanks not only to his looks, but also his dedication to his family. Before he married Nicole though, he was smooching girls on the playground in first grade. Continue Reading

Country’s own Lady Antebellum was the big winner at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY® Awards in Los Angeles Sunday night, taking home the trophy in five of the six categories in which they were nominated. The group’s crossover hit “Need You Now” won Song and Record of the Year as well as best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Lady A members Dave Hayward, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott were clearly stunned by the Recording Academy’s accolades. “We just cried our eyes out backstage and I can’t believe we’re up here once again,” Charles said while accepting for Record of the Year.
During their performance, the group slowed down a shortened version of “Need You Now” and sung bits of “American Honey,” and the classic “If You Don’t Know Me By Now,” a nod to Teddy Pendergrass, who died last year.
Lady Antebellum was the only country nominee in the Album of the Year category, which ultimately went to Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs.
The group’s dominance marked the second straight year a country crossover act was the night’s top story. Continue Reading

One of the old jokes about fashion is that if you hold on to your clothes long enough, they’ll come back in style. But it’s not a joke when it comes to songs. They can definitely have a second life. In fact, Keith Urban has given new life to not just one Radney Foster song, but two.
Keith picked up a hit in 2003 when he remade Radney’s song “Raining On Sunday,” and he did it again this year by recording Radney’s “I’m In.” In a very real way, “I’m In” is a direct result of the movie Australia.

Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts are among the most powerful celebrities in the world, right alongside Oprah Winfrey, Madonna and U2.
That’s one way to interpret the latest edition of Forbes magazine’s Celebrity 100, a ranking that goes beyond finances to provide a full picture of famous people’s star power. The list measures their income as well as their performance in four different media forms — TV/radio, press, the Internet and social media — to provide an overview of the celebrities’ relative place in the pecking order of popularity.
