Rodney Atkins Holds StageIt Show for Holston United Methodist Home for Children

Rodney Atkins and his wife, singer-songwriter Rose Falcon, celebrated Rodney’s recent birthday by hosting a live-streamed StageIt show and online auction to raise money for the Holston United Methodist Home for Children in Greenville, Tennessee. They both donated items for the auction, including handwritten and autographed lyrics and personal mementos such as Rodney’s first mounted buck and artwork painted and signed by Rose.

“Holston United Methodist Home took care of me as an infant and helped me find a place with my adoptive parents,” Rodney said. “It means so much to Rose and me to be able to give back to them through music and with the help of our fans and friends.” Continue Reading

Rodney Atkins Plays for Veterans with Musicians On Call

In honor of Veterans Day, Rodney Atkins paid a special visit to the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System’s Nashville Campus VA Hospital. The visit was a part of Musicians On Call’s weekly Bedside Performance Programs to visit with patients who have served in the U.S. military. Rodney went room to room to personally perform and offer his thanks.

“Any time I can support our military heroes, I’m honored to be involved,” he said. “Music is a powerful healer, and I’m grateful that programs like Musicians On Call provide these opportunities for artists to connect through music.” Continue Reading

Congratulations to Rodney Atkins and singer-songwriter singer-songwriter Rose Falcon! The couple tied the knot during an intimate beachside ceremony last Sunday, November 10 on Captiva Island, Fla. Twenty guests watched them exchange vows, including Rodney’s son Elijah, who was best man. Officiating was Charles Hutchins, founder of Holston United Methodist Home for Children, where Rodney spent his infancy before being adopted.

On Saturday, friends and family were treated to a day of fishing in the beautiful waters surrounding Captiva. Rose made  many of the wedding decorations herself, including wedding programs made of CD cases and a handmade bracelet for each female guest. Male guests each received a custom hat made to match the baseball cap worn by the groom.

CMA Music Festival Announces Two Stage Lineups

The lineup for the 2012 CMA Music Festival’s Bud Light Stage at the Bridgestone Plaza and the new BIC Soleil Bella Beach Stage have been announced. The two concerts will provide fans with over 40 hours of concerts for free. The CMA Music Festival takes place June 7-10. “Live music is a hallmark of CMA Music Festival and we are excited to be able to add a new stage and even more performances this year,” Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer, said.

The BIC Soleil Bella Beach Stage is a new addition to this year’s CMA Music Festival with concerts and activities starting at 11:00 AM/CT each day during the Festival. The Bud Light Stage at Bridgestone Arena Plaza, at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway, is a fan favorite and a great place to catch up and coming country artists.
