They’re back to back at Nos. 15 and 16 on this week’s list of the top country videos in the nation; Josh Turner and Radney Foster will both join host Nan Kelley this weekend as guests on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown.
Radney is positioned at No. 16 with “Angel Flight,” from his 2009 album Revival. Having established himself with the ultra-cool duo Foster & Lloyd, he’s gone on to become a jack of all trades in his solo career. In addition to making his own albums, he’s produced the Randy Rogers Band and written such hits as Sara Evans’ “A Real Fine Place To Start” and Keith Urban’s “Raining On Sunday.” He’s allegedly got something up his sleeve for Darius Rucker’s next album as well.
Josh finally releases his next album, Haywire, on Tuesday. His infectious “Why Don’t We Just Dance” is at No. 15 on the Top 20, and it’s also in the Top 5 on the Mediabase country airplay chart.

Like it or not, Valentine’s Day is almost here. We gave you our list of the Top 20 Country Love Songs – but life isn’t always moonlight and roses, is it? By no means is this a definitive list, so please, tell us what other songs you’d add! Put your suggestions in the comments section below.

More than three years after her world fell apart practically on a public stage, Sara Evans has re-established her personal life and now hopes to get her career chugging along at its previous pace.
In the fall of 2006, she quit “Dancing With The Stars” as her marriage to politician Craig Schelske crumbled amid a series of accusations and lawsuits. The court documents, often available online, gave plenty of fodder for gossip, and she frequently saw her name in the tabloids. Even more frequently, her own fans chose up sides and played armchair psychiatrist.
Sara’s only now starting to talk about the way her family was turned upside down and the way it challenged her as a mother.

Sara Evans recently called us from her Los Angeles hotel room (she was in L.A. with husband Jay Barker, attending the 2010 Citi BCS National Championship Game) to talk about her new book, The Sweet By And By, and what else is in store for her this year.
In the third and final part of our interview, Sara tells GAC how the strong females in her life influenced The Sweet By And By’s characters. She also reveals the one message she hopes fans will get from reading the book, and gives the backstory on a certain “Desperate Housewives” actress’ glowing recommendation. Continue Reading

Sara wrote The Sweet By And By with noted Christian author Rachel Hauck. She decided to take the writing plunge after being approached by the Thomas Nelson book publishing company. The romance novel is a love story with a spiritual thread that covers some tough topics: divorce, teen pregnancy, abortion and crippling panic attacks, to name a few. Sara tells GAC she herself has suffered from panic attacks. She wanted the book’s main character, Jade, to battle them too, to raise awareness of the condition.

If you’re looking for the new Sara Evans CD, you’ll have to wait until this summer, for Sara’s currently writing and recording it. In the meantime, you can pick up a copy of Sara’s new romance novel, The Sweet By And By, in stores now. Seventeen months after she moved in with husband Jay Barker in Birmingham, Sara Evans is now the matriarch in a household with seven kids, which requires a lot of planning. Especially since she spends much of her time on the road.
That scenario is particularly extreme this December as Sara delivers a holiday concert tour. Most American adults are stressed by shopping, work, parties and/or planning out-of-town trips. Sara’s family has some of those issues, too, but she didn’t skip out on her motherly Christmas duties. She joined the whole crew on Thanksgiving to decorate the tree before embarking on the 12-city tour. She still plans to do it up big-time at home once the shows come to a halt.

When the GACTV.com staff heard that the popular men’s magazine Maxim decided to put out a list of the “Hottest Women of Country Music,” I reluctantly stepped forward to do some research. It’s a tough job but somebody has to do it. So off I went to Maxim.com to review the list, presented in the form of a photo gallery. The list was comprised of a total of 19 women. The gallery appears to be in random order and not in any formal order or rank of “hotness.” No surprises for me, but I can tell you I think they left more than a couple of deserving ladies off the list… Continue Reading
