Zac Brown Band’s Uncaged Is About Chemistry

Zac Brown Band will release their new album, Uncaged, on July 10. The project captures the chemistry the band has developed over the course of their years of living, traveling and working together. “We’re always trying to push the barrier of our musicianship and I’m proud to say that there is a little bit of something for everyone,” Zac Brown said.

The album includes songs varying from the tight, rocking title track to the slow-burning “Goodbye In Her Eyes,” which guitarist Coy Bowles says is “the biggest sounding song we’ve ever recorded.” The 11-track project has the ZBB harmonies fans have come to expect as well as guest vocals by Amos Lee on “Day That I Die” and the contribution of trumpet and trombone by New Orleans’ Trombone  Shorty on “Overnight.”

The band worked with a long list of co-writers, including Jason Mraz, longtime collaborator Wyatt Durrette and fellow Southern Ground Artists Sonia Leigh, Nic Cowan and Levi Lowrey. “It remains true to the Zac Brown Band sound, which has become a style in itself,” violinist Jimmy De Martini said of the diverse project.
