The Band Perry, Lee Brice, Brett Eldredge and Wynonna are just some of the stars participating in the 5th Annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp this week. The weeklong residential program is open to campers nationwide with Williams syndrome who are also talented in music. The Camp has a dual purpose of studying Williams syndrome while providing music enrichment through performance and education. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the Camp, enabling the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities to advance its mission of “improving the lives of individuals with Williams syndrome and their families through research, training and service.”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Music Camp and the 5th year that ACM Lifting Lives has been involved. On Monday, campers attended a songwriting workshop with The Band Perry, crafting a song from concept to final wording. The next day, they gathered at Wildhorse Saloon to meet with The Swon Brothers and share stories about their camp experience. Continue Reading

WATE-TV spotted Kimberly in a wedding dress on Thursday, surrounded by a number of people carrying umbrellas, possibly to shield Kimberly’s dress from cameras. The Band Perry

The Band Perry’s mother isn’t just a great mom, she is also a great coach. The sibling trio say their mother is very involved with their career, helping them be the best artists and performers they can possibly be. Even if it looks like she isn’t even watching their show.

“If you ever see our mother during a show, she’ll be back by the sound board, and usually she’s on her iPhone,” Kimberly Perry said. “It’s not that she’s not paying attention, but she’s taking notes from the show. Because let me tell ya, before everybody goes to bed in the bunks at night, we’re gonna be reviewing those notes.” Continue Reading

The Band Perry Gives Team Blake Constructive Criticism

When Blake Shelton calls, you answer. That’s exactly what The Band Perry did when Blake phoned the trio to mentor his team on NBC’s The Voice throughout the battle rounds, which are going on now. TBP was on hand to offer constructive criticism to Team Blake as they prepared for battle, something they found invaluable to their career when they were just starting out.

“One thing that we learned from in The Band Perry since day one was receiving constructive critique from people who watch our shows and from people who knew so much more about music and singing and playing in the music business than we did,” Kimberly Perry said. Continue Reading

The Band Perry on Getting “Gut-Level Honest”

The Band Perry on Getting "Gut-Level Honest"

The Band Perry admit there were some fears and doubts at play when they started making their latest album, Pioneer. Instead of falling victim to nagging thoughts, the trio embraced them and pushed forward, ending up with a project they are proud of.

“In different phases of this journey and making the record, it was our best friend, other times it was our creative arch enemy, but it was always our teacher,” Kimberly Perry said. “And I think the one thing that we really had to learn, when we were just putting one foot in front of the other as we would write a new song, as we were making decisions, was just to bust right through the fear.” Continue Reading

The Band Perry Learn to Be “Creative on the Go”

The Band Perry Learn to Be "Creative on the Go"

The Band Perry just released their latest single, “Chainsaw,” from the Pioneer album, but the band is already hard at work on their third studio album. Before recording Pioneer, the sibling trio had a routine for writing and places they felt most inspired. That changed with Pioneer and will affect their new music.

“I feel like there was this crazy thing that happened on Pioneer where we had to sort of learn to be creative on the go,” Kimberly Perry said. “But once we got the hang of it, every new place that we travel, every new horizon we see somehow inspires us with brand new music. It’s a really cool and fertile creative time for us right now.” Continue Reading

Now that The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry is engaged to Toronto Blue Jays starting catcher J.P. Arencibia, everyone wants to know – when is the wedding? Between The Band Perry’s tour dates and J.P.’s Major League Baseball schedule, finding a date may prove to be difficult.

“As we do everything else here in the life of The Band Perry, Reid has a mantra, ‘We make life happen on the go,’” Kimberly said. “I’m sure that it will be a quick, short window, but you know that’s just the way we are in The Band Perry and with baseball as well, but it will be sweet nonetheless.” Continue Reading
