Kenney Chesney shares some photos from his high school football playing days in his new video "The Boys of Fall."
A few weeks ago we brought you a first listen to Kenny Chesney’s brand new single “The Boys of Fall.” Today, Kenny Chesney decided a fitting place to introduce the video for his sentimental tribute to high school football would be ESPN. The 8-minute video plays out like a mix of “Friday Night Lights” and a highlight reel from college and pro-football. Lots of familiar faces. For anyone that played high school football or a team sports of any kind, you just might get a chill or two by the time the video ends.

With fall looming, country stars are lining up with dates for new albums and with some brand new singles.
Among the acts with new songs in release are Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney and Sugarland, each of whom put out a new single in the last three weeks. Reba’s “Turn On The Radio” comes from an album due in November — her first with in-demand producer Dann Huff, known for his work with Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts. Kenny’s new song, “The Boys Of Fall,” embraces high-school football, and it landed in country’s Top 15 in just its second week on the charts. And Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue” was written with two other people, including a member of the rock band Better Than Ezra.

Having taken a year off from touring largely to concentrate on recording a new studio album, Kenny is set to share that album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, with fans on September 28th. On Monday, the highly anticipated first single, “The Boys Of Fall,” was released to radio. Continue Reading

Kenny Chesney might be better known for his high energy concerts and hit songs than his football skills, but the lessons he learned while playing high school football have stayed with him throughout his life. Kenny has spent the past year filming a documentary, ‘The Boys of Fall,’ about the game he says helped shape him into the person he is today.
“I was the starting wide receiver, which tells you how great we were,” Kenny says of his days playing for Gibbs High near Knoxville, Tenn. “And I quit growing my freshman year. But I now know why we practiced longer, why our coach put us through double practices in the summer heat… all those things he put us through. It was to teach us things me and everybody on our team has used to become the people we are.” Continue Reading
