Thomas Rhett Confesses: He Likes Chick Flicks

Thomas Rhett has a confession to make. He likes chick flicks. He’s definitely a “guy’s guy,” but when it comes to making wife Lauren happy, he’ll gladly sit down with her to watch a rom com.

“I don’t mind watchin’ Nicolas Sparks movies like Safe Haven, or The Notebook, or A Walk to Remember,” he said. “It’s kinda crazy I know all these titles, but, you know, I’m a fan of those kinds of movies and so it’s really easy to sit down and watch those with her.” Continue Reading

Thomas Rhett’s tour schedule usually keeps him on the road for Valentine’s Day. That doesn’t keep him from having plans on how to celebrate the holiday with wife Lauren, however. And he’s giving advice to any man looking for a way to make the day special.

“I would really encourage loads of chocolate, maybe a teddy bear if she’s into that kind of thing,” he said. “Just some good ‘ol kissin’ time on the couch, maybe a little romantic movie. That’s my plan for Valentine’s Day.” Continue Reading

Thomas Rhett Can See His Career Momentum Building

Thomas Rhett ended 2013 strong, coming off a three-week No. 1 with “It Goes Like This” and also topping the chart as a songwriter on Florida Georgia Line’s hit “’Round Here.” His latest single, “Get Me Some of That,” is climbing the charts. Thomas can see the momentum shifting in his career.

“We were on the ‘Night Train’ tour with Jason Aldean, it started in February and we’d go out there some nights and it would be 80% full and we’d go out the next night and it’d be 50% full when I walked onstage,” he said. “That was when ‘It Goes Like This’ had just first come out. I noticed that as the song was climbing the chart, it would get in the Top 20, then it’d get in the Top 10 and you could tell that more and more people were showing up.”  Continue Reading

Thomas Rhett is a talented songwriter. While some artists channel their emotions into their lyrics, Thomas says he doesn’t need to write a song to express what he’s feeling in everyday life.

“I’m an open book,” he said. “If I’m in a bad mood, you’re gonna know. If I’m happy, you’re gonna know. And if something’s bothering me I’m gonna tell ya. You can ask my wife Lauren, I’ve always been that way.” Continue Reading

Thomas Rhett was a busy man in 2013 and won’t be slowing down much in the New Year. To celebrate a successful 2013, he and wife Lauren will enjoy a year-end vacation. The couple had originally planned to spend 10-12 days touring Europe, but opted for a beach getaway to the Caribbean instead.

“I usually try to take a week off every quarter of the year,” he said. “I feel like if I don’t get at least five days at home where I don’t have anything to do, I start going crazy.” Continue Reading

Besides the starring couple, the video features shots of Thomas performing the song. It also includes some of the special people in his life, including fans chosen from a Facebook contest and his wife, Lauren, with whom Thomas locks eyes.

Thomas Rhett Gives Thanks for His Wife’s Support

Thomas Rhett Gives Thanks for His Wife's Support

It’s been a banner year for Thomas Rhett. He scored several hit songs as a songwriter, topped the charts as an artist with “It Goes Like This” and spent several months as a special guest on Jason Aldean’s Night Train Tour. Despite all of his success, his wife Lauren is what Thomas is most thankful for this Thanksgiving.

“I don’t know what I would do without a constant support system,” he said.  “Somebody that can deal with me being on the road as much as I am and still have somebody to call at one or two in the morning when I’m done doing all this stuff who will gladly answer. [She] might not be in the best mood, but at least she’s there. That’s one of the biggest reasons that I can perform well every night.” Continue Reading
